This year make it easy to stick to that New Year’s Resolution by keeping that workout regimen interesting. Try functional group training in the FREE MOTION ZONE. For those of you who don’t know, functional training can be defined as a classification of exercise, which involves training the body for the activities performed in daily life.

You’ve been doing an excellent job working through your circuit. Now, let’s mix it up. Take advantage of the chance to trick your body with multi planar movements using free motion equipment with a trainer. Multi planar movements help to increase core stability and improve overall internal balance. The beauty of the FREE MOTION ZONE is that it is perfect for any age or ability. Everyone from the young athlete training to increase performance and help earn that scholarship to the average person looking for weight loss or general fitness. And, its even great for rehab seniors looking for increased stability and range of motion.

So whether you’re looking to improve that golf swing for next season, or just looking to tone and trim your ideal 45 minute workout is waiting for you in the free motion zone. It’s very affordable to train with the group in a class. Or you can take advantage of the one on one setting with a trainer. Don’t forget you can also make it fun with friends by trying a DUO, TRIO, or QUARTET personal training session.

September 2007

The cool weather is on its way! When exercising outdoors, layers are the answer. For the layer closest to your skin try something dry-fit, helping get the sweat away from your skin makes working out longer easier as you will not be trying to move in drenched clothing. The next layer should be your warmth layer e.g. fleece. Finally that third layer should be similar to a windbreaker. Something water proof to protect you from the potentially harsh autumn weather.

Consider starting that new years resolution early this year. Getting into the gym can be a great answer to the sun setting much earlier, making that outdoor stroll or run more dangerous than usual.

August 2007

It is hot and humid out there don’t forget to keep hydrated. Drinking lots of water and using sunscreen is important this time of year. Just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean forget about the gym. Poor air quality on O ZONE ALERT days is the perfect reason to come out of the heat and exercise in an air-conditioned building. You may be able to get a better work out getting in out of the heat.
