Personal Trainer Profiles
At Absolute Fitness, we believe that our trainers should all be trained and qualified at a rigorous level to work with our clients. So each one is certified by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) or by AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). Here are a few profiles of the trainers you will meet at Absolute.
Steve DavisWith 11 years of professional experience Steve Davis is the Personal Training Manager and a Certified Fitness Trainer at Absolute Fitness.
Steve grew up racing sailboats; realizing the need for strength and endurance in sports, he decided to pursue a career in health and fitness. Steve is certified through the International Sports Sciences Association with a specialization in golf conditioning, he also instructs several aqua boot camp and Freemotion circuit classes. Steve has worked with a wide variety of clients helping them gain strength, flexibility, stamina and confidence for many different sports and daily activities. Will FishWill Fish has been a certified personal trainer (International Sport Science Association) since 2000. Additionally Will is Russian Kettle Bell certified through Pavel Tsatouline.
Will draws from his varied background when developing routines for his clients - building individualized approaches that leverage many tools including Kettle Bells, dumbbells, barbells, body weight drills and the cardio/fitness machines at Absolute. Will is a firefighter and EMT with two children. Sue PullyblankSue Burnett Pullyblank has her Personal Training Certification from AFAA
(Aerobics & Fitness Association of America). She looks forward to
working with clients in many fitness aspects; but especially balance and
fall-prevention.
Sue is in the process of becoming certified in Kickboxing. Look for Sue at the gym training clients, working out herself, and running future 8 Week Personal Challenge and Free Motion classes. Her "spare time" is spent with family & friends. She has been married for 11 years and has a 7 & 5 year old at home. She especially loves the summer! | Ellen HistenWith five years of professional experience Ellen Histen is a Certified Fitness Trainer at Absolute Fitness. Her passion is to help others reach their health and fitness goals and to help them feel confident exercising in the gym.
Ellen has her Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Fitness from the University of Rhode Island; she is a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Associations and a certified cycling instruction through Schwinn Cycling. Ellen has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from young athletes needing to increase strength, stamina and flexibility to older adults needing to lose weight, increase strength for bone health or gain flexibility for sports such as tennis. Ellen also instructs spin classes and Free Motion circuit classes several times per week. Sharon BrewerSharon Brewer received her initial certification as a personal trainer in 2006 with the International Sports & Science Association (ISSA).
Recently, Sharon has become specialized in senior fitness through the American Academy of Health and Fitness (AAHF). As a people person, Sharon has a unique talent for helping others learn to love fitness as much as she does through using personal training to achieve their fitness goals. In addition to her work at Absolute Fitness, Sharon enjoys a career as an oil painter and spending time with her three children. |
